MEMBERSHIP

We believe that church membership is important.

Maretburg Baptist Church is a covenant family of those who know the Lord Jesus Christ. If you believe that God is leading you to become a member of MBC you need to do the following:

1. Contact Pastor Peyton to share your interest in church membership.

2. Make arrangements to attend the next Church Membership class where you will discuss MBC's beliefs, covenant, and constitution.  During this meeting you will be asked to share your understanding of the gospel and your testimony of your conversion and walk with Christ.

3. You will be presented for membership before the church body.

How do we receive new members? We receive members through any of the following ways:

1. By scriptural baptism by immersion after profession of faith in Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior and by vote of approval by church members.

2. By transfer of church letter from another Baptist Church.

3. By statement of faith of prior experience of conversion and scriptural baptism by immersion in another church of like faith and practice.
